About The Earthbuilders' Guild
TEG’s mission is to promote, preserve and expand the building methods of adobe, rammed earth, and compressed earth block construction. Our organization is dedicated to the betterment and advancement of earthen construction of homes and commercial buildings, including the preservation and restoration of existing buildings.
The commitment of people in this industry stretches across family traditions, community heritage, meaningful work, environmental concerns, and the joy of working with the earth. We want to ensure that we continue to make history through our building processes while improving them to create safe, comfortable, long-lasting structures.

Energy Code Training
Sustainable Education for Advanced Buildings (SEAB) – Energy Conservation Code Training for Professionals
The New Mexico Energy, Minerals Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) is offering free trainings for building professionals seeking to learn more about the new 2021 New Mexico Residential Energy Conservation Code, which will come into effect on July 30th, 2024. TEG is pleased to see the inclusion of training on the passive solar option for earthen construction in the course offerings. The training is free, online, and will be offered twice:
Class: 2021 NMRECC (IECC) Residential Total U-factor Table R402.1.2 option, Earthen Building Systems, and Passive Solar

TEG Tour - Sunday, May 19, 2024
Join us! The Earthbuilders' Guild will be touring rammed earth projects in Las Cruces, NM. Details will be posted as they become available. An email RSVP is required (theearthbuildersguild@gmail.com). Free to TEG members, but a pre-paid donation of $10 is required for non-members (payment request will be sent to you via PayPal). First come, first serve. Details will be sent to you once you have RSVP'd and paid.

The Earthbuilders' Guild - New Mexico Earthen Code Survey
Do you design, build or repair structures covered by New Mexico’s Earthen Building Materials Building Code? The Earthbuilders' Guild invites feedback from builders, contractors, and design professionals related to building regulation for earthen construction in New Mexico. Your responses will help The Earthbuilders' Guild inform discussions with regulators and prioritize Code Committee activities.
