Avanyu, est. 2024, is an award-winning Native woman-owned General Contractor leading the way in sustainable adobe construction and preservation. Having maintained the historic fabric of northern New Mexico’s adobe structures for more than 21 years, we provide new building construction while honoring the deep tradition of adobe building. We specialize in historic preservation and adobe restoration, always striving to make adobe homes affordable for Pueblo and non-Pueblo families of northern New Mexico by bringing families and communities together to help construct family homes.

With a team of construction professionals specializing in all aspects of historic adobe preservation, design, consulting services, implementation through construction, project management, and quality control.

For more than 21 years Avanyu has completed more than 95 projects within the northern and southern pueblos. We have the cultural sensitivity required for projects within tribal boundaries and for those that require the Department of the Interior’s historic preservation protocols.

Avanyu balances tradition and innovation with community driven initiatives in northern New Mexico. We pride ourselves in leading the way in sustainable adobe construction and community-driven initiatives. We provide employment and training opportunities to local communities as part of our mission statement.
